I would like to take a minute to welcome our new members, who have just recently joined our website. At this time of the year, trappers are getting ready for the upcoming season and trying to do a bit of early hunting before the trapping season starts. Some trappers have gone out of state and started their season early,we are all very busy and preoccupied with things that must be attended to,some even work on top of all this.Welcome to all our new members and feel free to post on our site, you can share information or ask questions about trapping, that is the purpose of this site, join in,only the animals bite.

Hey fellas, I just joined the La. Trappers and Alligator Hunters Assoc. and am new to the site. I use to do a lot of trapping when I was in my teens and early twenties but have been out of it for awhile, seemed that when I got married and had kids most of my free time kinda went out the window. I Mostly use to trap coon, otter and mink in those days. Anyway I just wanted to say Hi and I am excited about getting back into this great sport and cant wait for the coming season.,

Hi, my name is Erik from Towanda, Pa. I have been trapping off and on for approx. 25 yrs. Doing it mainly as a hobby. I am extremely big on hunting ! Started food plots / deer management 5 yrs. ago and it really boosted the deer population and horn growth ! What I am interested in is gator trapping. I am possibly planning a trip to La. in the fall and would love to volunteer my time for a few days to help a fellow trapper trap some gator's and possibly get a gator for helping ? I do not even know if this is possible or not = do not know what the rules and regulations are that pertain to this. Any input on this subject would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for the welcome and look forward to any and all feedback. Erik ;D

Hi, My name is Matt from Nebraska. I have been trapping since the early/mid 90s and have planned a wintertime trip to Louisiana to trap live market canines and cats. My father and Iwill be making this our first distance trapping vacation with eachother. He is in his late 50s and we live several hours away from eachother. This trip will be a, as he puts it, "bonding" experience. I have an Outfitting business here in central nebraska where we guide turkey and deer hunts to out of state hunters. I look forward to visiting this state this winter and learning a few things about trapping in the south.
