where to sell a few hobby furs around Lake Charles

Hello guys,

Me and my 11 year old son just started doing a little hobby trapping here and there. We don't catch much or have many traps out we are just doing it for fun. I was wondering if any of you knew of somebody around the Sulphur or Lake Charles area that would want to buy a few( and I mean a few) animals in the round or green hides? We are not trapping for the money so I would dang near give the furs away. Doesn't even have to be a real buyer maybe just a bigger trapper that actually brings his to a buyer.

I'm not sure how big of a trapper your looking for, I'm 6'1" and about 230 lbs. But I know one that's in Rosepine that's about 6' and pushing 300 lbs.

Paul that right there is funny I don't care who you are. Rosepine trapper pushing 300, that is. LOL. You know I saw his 250 lbs twin the other day. I even waved and the guy looked at me like I was an idiot, well I am and idiot but he didn't know that yet. LOL.

Haters are gonna hate. Just do what I do. Bring your catch to a convention or workshop and tell Tony you are "donating" them for education. He falls for it every time and skins them for me.

Hobby, I am so sorry we have yet answered your question. As you can tell we know one another to well around here. LOL. We poke fun at one another every chance we get. There are a few fur buyers in the state. One is Jimmy Gallispy of R&P outdoors in Mansfield LA, Danny Perry of Oak Dale LA and at the convention there will be a fur buyer from Ark Tim Ross.
