Natchez Shooters Supplies 1-800-251-7839 has them. Box of a 100 is $8.91 plus shipping, 5 box maximum order. The item number is C14CC0026. I thought a few of y'all trappers may be interested in this. I know Eric is because he made me pay $35.00 for the last box I bought. He keep biding them up at our Convention, in the live auction. It's going to coast me more to kill a coon with that box than the hide is worth.(It takes me about 4 or 5 shots to kill one in a trap because I'm such a bad shot). I wonder if Eric knew about my bad shooting ability at the Convention?

Yep he knew. He was hoping you bought another box next year to try and improve you ability.

For the life of me, I can't figure out why anyone would shoot a coon in a trap and put up with all that blood.

I want coons alive when I get to them because a dead coon green bellies fast on a warm Louisiana winter night. I sell the meat but if it's green bellied I don't. Some years I make more on the meat then the hide. I make coon sets in about 6 inches of water to avoid catching possums. Once a coon has been dispatched I simply pop them out a couple of times holding'em by the back feet. After I skin'em I wash the hide good to get out the mud, pop the hide a few times holding the nose and then hang'em in front of a fan. Once the hide is dry then I'll flesh and board them. Since the hide stays wet from the time the coon is caught until he's skinned blood is not a problem.

Paul, Todd uses a 160 coni to dispatch his coons. I have watched him do this with 30 lbs Wisconsin coons. It is fast, clean and tricky to do. Todd just makes it look easy.

Since I'm such a terrible shot I probably better use a 330 coni to dispatch coons like Todd does. On second thought I better wait till the new 990 coni come out.

Their loaded gun laws make it a pain in the butt to carry a weapon n on the trap line. Todd's way is much better for his location. I still pull the trigger on the .22 lr myself on coon.

Gun laws ain't a problem anymore now I got my CCW. Problem is you can't shoot within so many feet of a road if you're ditch trapping and most times I just hate drawing attention on the line. Once learned the body grip dispatch is slick, quiet and no bloody mess to deal with when you throw all the critters in the truck. Tried the 220 and 330 on coyotes one year but doesn't work worth a chit. Throat pop K9s now, bloodless as well. Tempted to try it on stinkers next time Tony comes up.

Wasn't looken to start a dispatch method dispute. I just thought a few Trappers might be interested in knowing where they could buy some CCI 22 CB shorts.
