Anyone looking to sell some of their used equipment? I'm going to buy a fleshing board, and an assortment of stretcher boards along with more traps and other odds and ends. I wanted to buy from one of you and keep the $ within the organization if possible. So, anyone needing to clean up around the fur shed, let me know!

If the rest of the guys are like me, once it is in my inventory, there it stays lol. If you don't have any luck here try the Trap Shed forum on trapperman.com. Another place I have bought used traps is usedtraps.com.

Alright thanks a lot. Must be a lot of folks that just try it out for a season and decide they don't like it because you're right. There's tons more on eBay now than there was a couple weeks ago.

Moya, you are right.. a lot of people get pumped about it and invest in traps and stuff... then they realize how much work it is to run a productive line. Harder than any full time job i have ever had.. its pure heart that drives me and other seasoned trappers to keep pushing thru year after year. I wake up every day at 3:30am to run some of my line before going to work installing/servicing HVAC equipment, then after 8-10hrs of that i finish running traps.. go home and skin critters until late into the evening.. by the time i do all that, take a shower and then eat supper its 11pm.. I love it so much. I met an old trapper who sold me his equipment because hes too old and back wont let him do it anymore, that old fellow choked back the tears while i was loading up the stuff and he was explaining he had trapped all his life.. i offered to take him with me on my line. Just thinking about when my day will come makes me sad.. Its therapeutic to me, being out there before the world is awake running traps..

Geauxtrappin i hear ya. I'm already hooked. I work 7 - 12 hr. days and off 7 days. I got a late start this year, it being my first year. At first I was just trapping my days off, but now I just can't make myself pull my sets even on my days working. So, I'm just checking them before and after work like you man. I can't help but feeling like if I pull my traps that'll be the day I'd have gotten my first double or maybe my first fox. Haha. I definitely have the fever.
