Who is getting geared up for the season?
I've about got everything ready except I have some bodygrips to dip in the F1 and some cable stakes and extensions to build.
I'm only going to dabble around the near vicinity of my house for the first couple weeks. Got some coons visiting the crawfish ponds that are gonna have to go ASAP.
I'm gonna hit it like a mad man after the first of the year.

Dec 1st is the perfect time to start trapping in Louisiana. Most all of the fur is prime by Dec.1 the original start date when I was growing up. It should be one heck of a year. The almanac says it is going to be a cold hard winter here making trapping tougher while the fur market is not out of the tank yet. Some of the early reports I am hearing point toward long haired goods holding up a little better. (fox, cat and coyote) while the verdict does not look good for other species such as coon and otter. The musk rat and mink will still hold up a little better while beaver will find limited markets to specific buyers. I will trap and put my fur up and see what I can move them at when the time comes is all that matters I guess.
