I’m not trapping this year. Just to busy. Who do you think you are planning to sell? If I were to sell, I guess, I would send it to fur harvesters.

Not really sure. I’m about 3 beaver pelts away from not being able to freeze anymore (have other stuff in my freezers as well), so I need to do something soon. Will probably go down the list of Louisiana buyers to see if there is any interest.
I’ll probably tan my furs that have holes or any damage. I’ve been saving skulls and baculums as well. The plan was to offer to donate to the skulls and some pelts to local schools.
Sure could use some freezer space and some money for pelts would be nice.

You can try Mr. Jimmy at R-P outdoors. He buys fur in the green.

I’ll give him a call maybe tomorrow.
I’ve looked at his prices over the years, but I didn’t see him post anything this year that suggested he was buying.
Was really curious what kind of prices people were getting if they were selling....

I been watching T-man, to see what prices, those guys or getting. I know we have different fur , but, at least it gives me an idea. I am wondering if we or trying to get a agent from fur harvester to come down for or convention. If not, I’m going to put the pencil to it and see which is better. To pay the cost of shipping an handling and the percentage they take off at the auction. To, not putting up, and use that time to lay more steel and sell it to Jimmy. I don’t know the difference, yet.

Just sold my whole beavers to Perry Furs in Oakdale. Very satisfied, and will definitely be doing business with them again in the future.
$8 per whole adult beaver $4 per whole, young beaver
Also sold some castor I had in the freezer while I was there... $45/lb.

I thought they were too. Definitely more than I was expecting, and they were very nice people to deal with. I’d highly recommend him to those that are within range.
He also told me that he’s paying $0.20/lb for good beaver carcasses, if anyone is interested and wants to give him a call about it
