My name is Jennifer and i am a furbearer biologist for the state of Louisiana. i'm here in hopes of fostering better communication between the department and our trappers. Hunters and trappers are the greatest source of information regarding the health of our wildlife, and i'm well aware that when problems arise, y'all are likely the first group to notice. my mission is to see the continuation of the trapping sport, help you promote Louisiana fur products, and help learn about and ensure that our fur species are sustainably managed according to our state and national guidelines. please feel free to call me at our New Iberia Field Office at 337-373-0032 with questions about the tags needed to ship fur, possession tags and cites tags for bobcat and otter, nuisance issues, permit needs, or the purchase of fur buyer or dealer licenses.
