For a while now I have been buying trapping dvd's from different trappers in hopes of learning new methods and entertainment. Sometimes I spend $40.00 on a video and it was a total waste of money. Just incase one of you are looking at buying some dvd's, here are a few that I have and totally recommend.
Otterly Simple- Newt Serling and Clint Locklear Trapping the elusive coyote-Gary Jepson Trapping Bobcats- Gary Jepson Flat sets -Charles Dobbins Dirt hole sets-Charles Dobbins After the Catch- Matt Jones Canines 2000- Hal sullivan Predator trapping problems and solutions- Slim Pederson Snaring-Slim Pederson On the dog line- bob Wendt Coyote Trapping- Mark June Running with Jlord-James Lord Hardcore cat & Coyote trapping- Matt Jones Len Williams Complete bobcat trapping North,south,esat,west- Pederson
I am currently starting to get some water trapping dvds so if you have seen one and reccomend it, just add on here. Any trapping video. Maybe we can save eachother a few bucks buy reccomending the good ones. Books included. I just finished reading coyote trapping by Mark June and it is by far the best coyote book Ive read although Ive only read about 6. What are some good books too?

Wesley, your video list reads like a who's who of trapping, all are good choices.Charles Dobbins is my all time favorite trapper and I have been privileged to shake his hand and thank him personally for all he did for trapping.I talked to him for about two hours at an NTA convention in Mansfield,Ohio in 1995,I will treasure those two hours until I die.He was a living encyclopedia on trapping and would share freely if he took a liking to you.Slim Pederson is a trapper's trapper and a professional,East or West of the big river.Mark June is the new breed of educated trapper, who also shares freely and is in the field every trapping season honing his skill and knowledge.I hear Matt Jones is working on a tow boat now, what a waste of trapping talent, while men of lesser grit sell snake oil while getting rich on utter foolishness.

master wild hog snaring with newt sterling. gives good info on equ and sets for hogs. in the fur shed with kyle kaatz and brian steines. being new to trapping has a lot if info on putting up my own fur. from proper skining to fleshing and streatching fur. all outdoors tanning your own animal fur. also has lots of good info on methods for tanning your own fur. coyote trapping with mark june vol 1 and 2 are the best i seen so far covers every thing from start to finish for coyote trapping. even my wife and son watched them with me. bobcat trapping with james lord. i just got this week. it has a lot of catches but is kinda veag on baits and lures used, also sets are made realy fast kinda hard to follow when compared to mark june when he makes a set he goes over the plasement and offset of the trap. maby its not so importment on bobcats? professional preadator trapping with tom miranda. is very good at locating fur hot spots and covers lots of sets and equ. its a old video and there are more modern equ out there now but still a good video to watch.
