Can one legally trap coyote year around in Louisiana? I've looked LDWF web site and can't find anything.

No. You can trap them during trapping season with a trapping license. You can trap them year round for predation of live stock, poultry, pets and such as that with a NWCO license. However it is not legal to trap a deer lease on predation license during close trapping season. But you can a high fence breeding pen for deer.
Disclaimer. I do not work for LDWF, I am not a lawyer, nor do I claim to know all the rules. But this is what I was told when I asked LDWF the same question. I submit to you any and all question should be either snail mailed or emailed to LDWF Wildlife Division in New Iberia for written response to any and all trapping questions. This way you will have it in writing in case there is a question.
