There has been retraction and correction in the 2017 trapping pamphlet as printed. The corrected version is on the web but the printed version has been issue and is in the filed. Someone in the process of proofing, re-printing or what ever you want to call it added wording to the pamphlet which lead readers to believe it was only legal for trappers to use foot hold traps for coyotes in the parishes designated as bear territory. This is only a recommendation advocated by the LTAHA instead of making regulation or laws there is no law requiring this.
