I sure enjoyed seeing everyone at the NTA SE last weekend. It has been a long time since I have gotten to hang out with the trappers from Tx. Earl and his wife gave me a hard time as always, just cause she is a better trapper than Earl. Got to eat lunch with Bullet Box and Mr. Sam Petty. And watch what I could of Mr. Jimmy Brooks demo. Dewayne was walking around trying to look over the tables, but they were stacked a little to high. Paul Dobbins cracked a bottle of skunky back breaker sat morning and it filled the hall. Picked up most all the supplies I have been in need of and I am just about ready to roll. Rally Hess had the rods I wanted, I picked up two 16 oz jars of lure, another dozen 650's and a new auger. Got my Top Lot pin and hat along with the WFSC apron and hat, in pink for Samantha. All and all it was a great time for me, if only my knee would not have been hurting so bad. I had a few people tell me I looked and sounded mad. I was hurting from the time Rob and I left going up till this morning after the doc shot me up with some super serum. The pain was gone this morning and dead gum it my knee locked up this evening at 5:50 pm when I pushed open the door to the town hall heading in to the council meeting. Folks I almost hit the floor in pain and it brought tears to my eyes. I have got to get this thing fixed.
For those of you that did not make the NTA SE you missed out on a good time, good people and lots of knowledge. There was plenty to see and plenty of folks to talk to. I sure hope that we can keep a three, four or five state meeting going like this every year. I promise it will grow. With vendors like Rally Hess, Paul Dobbins, R&P Outdoors and the likes coming to the event helps out. Heck Okie Cable was there and I bought me a new ferial press I have been wanting for two years now. Made me a heck of a deal on that and some 650's. Any time you can get that many people together there is bound to be a good time. James Lord from Tn came over and watched. Heck Steve Hughes, Ronnie Guy, Steve and Belinda Hardy, Eric and Carmen Cottrell, Rob McKay, John Linzay, Wesley Blanchard, Paul Rhodes, Dewayne Lee, Ryan Schafer, Jimmy Gallaspy and more that I can't think of made it up for the meeting. I can't say enough how much I enjoyed it.
