On September the 20th, the LTAHA will host a trappers workshop in Woodworth at the LDWF education building on Robinson bridge road. This is the site of our annual convention. This workshop will be limited to 25 participants and you must reserve your position at the workshop prior to the date of the 20th. The convention covered fur handling and now we are going to cover what it takes to get that fur. The workshop will be an A-Z of trapping. We will start with equipment, what everything is, traps and how to properly adjust them, dying and waxing of traps, coyote trapping demo and discussion, bobcat trapping and discussion, coon, beaver and otter trapping, water trapping, body grips, snare building and snare demos on various types of critters and other topics as well. We are bringing out the big guns on this one with some very knowledgeable and very experienced trappers. At the end of the workshop, all of the experts will sit up front and will answer ANY and All questions that are trapping related. Bring a notebook and take notes because there will be plenty of information given. We will begin at 8 am and stop for lunch with small breaks between demos. Lunch will be provided. We will close at the end of the question and answer session, what ever time that may be. No where else but a national trappers convention can you get this much information. To sign up, call :
