This year I am taking all my traps one by one and dozen by dozen and cleaning, dipping, and re-waxing so next season when someone wants to borrow them they will be top notch and ready to set. I am changing, tuning and getting ready to sale some of them. I have to many and they are in my way. For a number of years I have bought new traps instead of repairing the ones I have. I have had them break a trigger and or wire and I would just stack it in the back and get another one. My stack of "to repair" traps has gotten to big so I cam getting them all ready. For those of you who have been to my place you would be shocked to see all the cleaning I have done. It sure is a slow process when you have acquired as much junk as I have over the years.
When I start the season next year I plan to have my area ready to roll!

Lol, I'm doing the same thing. Cleaning the yard and getting traps ready to go and stored away til November. Building some snares also. Between my job and trapping, not much else gets done around here until April. Getting all the beaver boards stacked away, starting to look more like a home place again lol. My brothers come over and call me Fred Sanford, bum bum bum bawa, lol.

I have been trying to take lessons from him and clean up all projects as I finish them like he does. Why put off till tomorrow what you can get done today. I work like a dog but I make a mess in the process. Eric works like a mule plowing the field and the rows are straight when he is done. Kind of like my brother from another mother in Wisconsin Todd H. His place looks like the Rites and everything I mean everything is in place.

Tony, I am glad to hear you are getting me some traps ready!!!! Lol. The ones I "stole" while you was a politic'n in China sure worked good!!!
Nothing worse than being unorganized. It costs you time and money. I am in the transition stage between fur season and turtle season. Still got a little more straighting up to do with the trapping gear. Bout got all the turtle gear ready to roll. Yesterday I got all my turtle tanks cleaned, lined up, and filled with water. By the end of this week, I hope to have them full!
